The Jesolo Sand Nativity has almost reached the threshold of 31,000 visitors, over 11,000 in the last three days. The Ice Crib makes 3,000 and reaches 15,000.
On Saturday 24, Sunday 25 and Monday 26 December the nativity scenes of Jesolo attracted thousands of visitors who then enlivened the city along the streets and squares, also pausing to make purchases in the houses of the Christmas market. In the three days considered, there were 11,310 people who crossed the entrance to the Jesolo Sand Nativity with a peak of 6,898 visitors yesterday, Monday 26 December. These data bring the total currently recorded to 31,967 admissions against 22,019 last year in the same period of time. In 2019, however, admissions had so far been 27,671. Given the success, the administration has decided to extend the opening hours of the exhibition of the "Sculptures of Peace" for Saturday 31 December, with closing at 9.30 pm instead of 7.30 pm.
Excellent turnout also for the Ice Crib in Piazza I Maggio. Only yesterday, Monday 26 December, the event attracted over 3,000 people, bringing the total number of admissions registered so far to 15,000. In 2021, at its first edition, the Ice Nativity scene counted a total of 43,000 visitors.
“These are record numbers that confirm the great attraction of the Jesolo Sand Nativity – declared the mayor of the City of Jesolo, Christofer De Zotti -. However, we are satisfied with the overall response from the city, which saw so many people visit the Ice Crib and also the Christmas Market. We are happy that many guests from Veneto, but also from all over Italy, choose Jesolo for the Christmas period and find a city that lives up to their expectations, already ready for the events of the coming weeks, starting with those of New Year's Eve. The invitation, therefore, is to come and visit us also in the next few days".
