"Fratelli tutti" is the title of the 22nd edition of Jesolo Sand Nativity which will remain open from 30 November 2024 to 9 February 2025

The 22nd edition of Jesolo Sand Nativity, the extraordinary Sand Nativity Scene which this year has the title “Fratelli tutti” ("All Brothers") to send a strong message of dialogue and peace, can be visited every day in the marquee set up in Piazza Brescia from Saturday 30 November 2024 to Sunday 9 February 2025.

Jesolo Sand Nativity, the sand nativity scene of Jesolo returns to enchant adults and children with the wonderful sand sculptures dedicated this year to the theme of interreligious dialogue.

The title “Fratelli tutti” (All Brothers) is the same as the papal encyclical published on October 3, 2020 and signed by Pope Francis on the altar of the Basilica of San Francesco in Assisi, which last winter hosted a majestic nativity scene made with sand from the city of Jesolo.

The inauguration will be held on Friday, November 29, with the presence of Monsignor Giacinto-Boulos Marcuzzo, auxiliary bishop and vicar general emeritus of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem.

The exhibition will open to the public from Saturday 30 November 2024 until Sunday 9 February 2025 in the marquee set up in Piazza Brescia in Jesolo.

After the sand "compaction" work that will take place from October 21, from November 7 to 20, international sculptors will create the majestic sand sculptures that will make up the 2024-25 exhibition dedicated to interreligious dialogue and peace, having as its guiding thread the parable of the Good Samaritan.
"This parable is an illuminating icon,” the Holy Father explained in the encyclical "Fratelli tutti." "In the face of so much pain, so many wounds, the only way out is to be like the Good Samaritan. Every other choice leads to the side of the bandits, or to that of those who pass by without compassion."

As has been the case since 2004, thanks to the generosity of visitors, Jesolo Sand Nativity will also this year offer its charity contribution to various associations and initiatives with humanitarian purposes, among which, thanks to the direct testimony of Monsignor Marcuzzo, Bishop of Jerusalem, there will be a project in favor of the populations in the Holy Land.
